For sure, you will be full of excitement when the moment comes that you will be able to fulfill your long-time dream of going to one special place you long desired in your heart. But even then, you must not forget any minor thing in your traveling suit, or your excitement will be replaced with disgust. Of course, making sure that your travel documents are all in place is fundamental. But aside from that, you have to research the following things so your vacation will turn up as you expected.
Communication
When traveling for the first time to another country, it is a must to know the condition of their communication system. By doing so, you will be assured that you can contact your loved ones, business partners, or workmates if you want to get in touch with them. If you are traveling alone, it is also crucial to keep in touch about how you are doing to allay any worries about your condition.
Although the communication signal may not be a problem in the hotel where you are staying, it is important to know in advance if there is a signal in some particular areas that are included in your itinerary.
Accommodation
If you are traveling on a budget, there are many options that you can choose from. You can select from hostels or homestays, which are way cheaper than hotels. You only have to make sure that it is in the center of your activities. When booking your flight, you can schedule your trip so you can reach your destination in the morning. This way, you can have some time to look for a cheaper but quality accommodation.
Food
If you are accustomed to international cuisines, you may know the foods that you are not compatible with. Before boarding the plane, it helps if you research on the foods that are popular in the area. This will let you have some idea of the ingredients, taste, and the method they are cooked. You may sound offensive to some locals when you ask so many questions about some foods and not taking them.
Language
Although English is said to be the universal language, do not expect that it can be spoken or understood by everybody. It is best to research some common words in the country where you are going. You can also use universal signages to communicate.
Activities
Researching on other notable activities other than what is in your itinerary will make your travel more memorable. You will be able to discover and experience for yourself what makes the place unique in its peculiar ways.
It is also best to know some of their laws, beliefs, and taboos to ensure that you will have a smooth-sailing memorable vacation.
The first thing to do is remove rust spots. The only way to stop the rust beetle is to replace the rusty parts. However, this can be expensive and sometimes requires special equipment. You can save time and remove as much rust as possible. Then use putty to shape and repair the body. Use high-quality putty and several grades of sandpaper to match the surrounding paint. The final product will be well worth the time invested. 
The living area of the van could use some refinishing. We measured the van and searched the internet for interior design ideas. We took inspiration from various vans. Google SketchUp, a free program, was used to design the interior of the van and create a construction guide. I had to remove all the existing woodwork that was covered in oil from the previous owner’s dirt bikes. Some cracks in the plywood floor needed to be welded. It was a tedious task that I had to drag out as the weather changed and it rained. The cracks were quickly welded and a new plywood floor was assembled once I got started. I was able to draw the design on the wood floor with a marker and then follow the plans.
